How Are the Parameters Calculated?

The SphygmoCor XCEL uses a validated generalized transfer function to reconstruct the central aortic pressure waveform from brachial cuff pulses recorded at a pressure below diastolic. The resulting central pulse waveform is averaged, and vascular biomarkers are extracted from its features.
