Prerequisites and Setup Requirements

Note: If you received the pre-configured appliance (Surface Pro + XCEL device), no assembly or software configuration is required. All connections are already installed.

Installing on a Windows PC

Confirm the PC meets the minimum system requirements listed in Section 1 before installation. Once confirmed:

1. Ensure you have an active internet connection.
2. Download the XCEL software installer.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation and create a database.

Pre-Configured Appliance Setup

1. Power on and log into the Surface Pro.
2. Confirm the SphygmoCor XCEL software launches automatically. If it does not, open it from the Start menu or Desktop shortcut.
3. Confirm you can reach the XCEL home screen and that the device is ready for use.
