System Configuration File Corrupted

If the software displays a 'System Configuration file is corrupted' notification on launch, the configuration file may have been damaged by a Windows update, an improper shutdown, or a system name change. Follow these steps to inspect the file.

  1. Navigate to the XCEL v1.5 directory, typically located at: C:\\AtCor\\XCEL1.5\\system\\config
  2. Open the 'system' folder, then open the 'config' folder.
  3. Right-click the 'xcel.config' file (it may appear as simply 'xcel' if file extensions are not shown in your display settings).
  4. Select Open with > Notepad from the context menu.
  5. If the file contains readable configuration data, the file is intact. Contact CONNEQT Health support to help resolve the corruption error using your current configuration.
  6. If the file is blank, contact AtCor Medical for assistance. Provide your computer's Machine Name or System Name, which can be found by pressing the Windows key and typing 'System Information' in the search bar.
