The Repeat Button Is Greyed Out

This typically occurs because the measurement workflow is not in a repeat-eligible state, the device is not detected, or the workstation display settings are incompatible with the application interface.

 

Step 1: Confirm the Correct Workflow State

PWA is commonly performed twice: a first pass to allow the patient to acclimate, and a second pass used for the final report. If the first pass did not complete successfully, the Repeat button may remain unavailable.

  • Confirm you have completed a PWA measurement in the current session (not just reviewing a past test).
  • If no capture has been run yet, start a new PWA measurement. Repeat is typically available only after a completed first pass.

 

Step 2: Check Device Detection

  • Confirm the XCEL device is powered on and connected.
  • Use Setup > System > Find Module to verify detection.

 

Step 3: Confirm Display Settings Meet Minimum Requirements

  • Confirm the screen resolution is set to 1366 x 768 pixels or higher.
  • If needed, set Windows display scaling to 100% via Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display.

 

Step 4: Use Start Instead of Repeat

  • If Repeat remains unavailable, return to the capture screen and start the measurement again using the Start button.
