XCEL Device Not Detected

This error may appear when the XCEL software is launched or when entering the Capture Screen. Check the following:

  • The SphygmoCor XCEL device is physically connected to the computer.
  • The device is plugged into a working AC outlet and the power switch is set to ON.
  • The Power light is illuminated. (If not, see 'Power Light Is Off' below.)
  • The correct communications port is selected in the configuration settings.
  • From the Setup screen, select System > Find Module. A successful detection will display 'Module successfully found.'
  • If using a USB adapter, confirm that the appropriate USB adapter drivers have been installed on the computer.
