Can More Than One User Use the Pulse?

Short answer: No. The CONNEQT Pulse is an FDA-regulated single-user medical device.

Each Pulse should be used and paired with only one person and one phone/app account at a time so that all measurements, trends, and clinical insights stay accurate and clinically meaningful.

If multiple people use the same unit (even with different cuffs), the data becomes mixed and the insights can be wrong for everyone.

If you want to move the Pulse from one person/phone to another, you must remove it and reset it (see steps below).

How to move a Pulse from one person/phone to another

If the device is currently paired to one phone and you want to switch it to a different person and phone:

  1. On the current phone/account

    • Open the CONNEQT app.

    • Go to Settings → Devices and remove/delete the Pulse from the account.

  2. Factory reset the Pulse

  3. On the new person’s phone/account

    • Have the new user open the CONNEQT app and sign into their account.

    • Go to Settings → Add Device → Pulse and follow the prompts to pair.

    • Going forward, only this person should use and pair with this Pulse.

Important: Resetting and re-pairing does not make the device multi-user. It simply transfers the device from one single user to another.

Why Pulse is single-user

  1. Clinical personalization

Pulse’s advanced arterial-health analytics (e.g., central blood pressure and derived indices) are modeled to one person’s demographics and longitudinal data. Mixing users on one device confuses those models and can lead to inaccurate insights and reports.

  2. Data integrity & trend accuracy

The CONNEQT app ties measurements and historical trends to one account so your month-over-month changes and your clinician-ready PDFs reflect only your physiology. Sharing a unit breaks those trends and can invalidate report interpretations.

  3. Regulatory note (FDA 510(k))

Pulse is an FDA 510(k)-cleared, Class II medical device (K221742) for non-invasive measurement of brachial and central arterial signals. As a regulated device, it should be used as directed—with a single individual per device—to preserve the accuracy of the clinical insights it provides.

Bottom line: If multiple people use the same unit, trendlines and clinical insights can be wrong for everyone.

If more than one person wants to track their arterial health

Each person should have their own Pulse. This ensures accurate readings, clean trendlines, and valid reports for every individual. (Consumer plans and reporting are provisioned per individual user.)

What about buying an extra cuff?

Extra cuffs are great for sizing changes (or as a replacement or spare), but they do not make the device multi-user. Even with separate cuffs, a single Pulse should be used by one person. If you need to purchase a cuff seperately, you can do so from our Official CONNEQT Health Accessories Store.
